Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost Endorses Tamika Hamilton for Congress
Sacramento, Calif. – Air Force Sergeant and candidate for California’s sixth congressional district Tamika Hamilton today announced she has received the endorsement of Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost.
"Tamika understands the issues facing Sacramento County Residents," said Frost. "She’s rightly focused on the economy and keeping our communities safe, and will strengthen the cooperation needed between the county and the federal government. She has my full support."
First elected to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in 2016, Frost has been an advocate for fiscal discipline, economic growth, increased community involvement and enhanced public safety.
During her tenure on the Board she helped develop a work-training program to help those experiencing homelessness become more self-sufficient. Additionally, Frost led the effort to create the county’s first Veterans Commission.
Prior to her election to the board, she served as Mayor and City Councilwoman in Citrus Heights where she pioneered efforts for expanding regional economic cooperation and supported community non-profits.
"Supervisor Frost is a strong and compassionate leader who is really involved in her community," said Hamilton. "It’s great to have her on my side."

Hamilton Advances to the General Election
Sacramento, Calif. - With the latest update from the Sacrament County Registrar of Voters, Air Force Sergeant Tamika Hamilton has declared victory over her Republican challengers in the race for California's sixth congressional district. Hamilton issued the following statement calling for Republicans to unite to defeat Ami Bera:
"The latest update from the Sacramento County Registrar of Voters makes it clear I'm advancing to the November election.
"Thank you to my Republican challengers who ran a clean and principled race. We have an incredible opportunity to come together to defeat Ami Bera this fall and restore some commonsense in Washington. We CANNOT let any of these so-called progressives reinvent themselves as moderates after they've watched our country burn, our economy collapse, crime destabilize our neighborhoods, and the continued erosion of our public education system.
"We have to let people know there is still a choice and that there is a far better way to govern.
"Please join me on this journey as we look to create a better America for all and future generations. I'll see you on the campaign trail."
