Citrus Heights Vice Mayor Tim Schaefer Endorses Tamika Hamilton for Congress

Sacramento, Calif. – Candidate for California’s sixth congressional district Tamika Hamilton today announced she has received the support of Citrus Heights Vice Mayor Tim Schaefer. With Schaefer’s support, Hamilton has been endorsed by a majority of the Citrus Heights City Council.

“We need representatives at the federal level who will be responsible stewards of the hard-earned dollars that taxpayers send to Washington,” said Schaefer. “Tamika is a working mother who understands the unprecedented hardships faced by small businesses and our residents and will work to restore our economy. She has my full support.”

Elected to the Citrus Heights City Council in 2020, Vice Mayor Schaefer has worked to streamline government operations and reduce costs without impacting critical services. He has been an advocate for ambitious development that supports the local economy and will make Citrus Heights a regional attraction.

Prior to being elected to the council, he was appointed to the Citrus Heights Planning Commission where he served for three years. He also served as Park Oaks Neighborhood Area Vice President and as Vice President of the Citrus Heights Residents Empowerment Association.

“It’s great to have the support of such a solutions-oriented and empathetic leader who puts the needs of residents first” said Hamilton. “Tim has big vision for Citrus Heights and I look forward to partnering with him as the City continues to grow and develop.”
