Sacramento, Calif. – Candidate for California’s sixth congressional district Tamika Hamilton announced the endorsement of Natomas Unified School Board President Micah Grant.
“Tamika is very knowledgeable on education issues and is steadfast in her commitment to protect and promote school choice,” said Grant. “The battle for the soul of this country starts with public education and I know Tamika to be a genuine person and mother with a heart for youth who will undoubtedly do what’s in the best interest of students.”
Grant has served on the Natomas Unified School Board since 2016, focusing on parental rights, government accessibility and fiscal responsibility. During his time on the Board, Micah has advocated for International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, more vocational training opportunities, technology funding, and increased district transparency and responsiveness. He has also helped expand career counseling options for student-athletes.
“Micah is a committed Board member who rolls back his sleeves and gets the tough work done,” said Hamilton. “He has a real passion for serving his community and has been creative in his approach toward creating educational and career pathways in Natomas. It's an honor to have his support.”
