Sacramento, Calif. – Air Force Sergeant and candidate for California’s sixth congressional district Tamika Hamilton today announced she has received the endorsement of Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost.
"Tamika understands the issues facing Sacramento County Residents," said Frost. "She’s rightly focused on the economy and keeping our communities safe, and will strengthen the cooperation needed between the county and the federal government. She has my full support."
First elected to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in 2016, Frost has been an advocate for fiscal discipline, economic growth, increased community involvement and enhanced public safety.
During her tenure on the Board she helped develop a work-training program to help those experiencing homelessness become more self-sufficient. Additionally, Frost led the effort to create the county’s first Veterans Commission.
Prior to her election to the board, she served as Mayor and City Councilwoman in Citrus Heights where she pioneered efforts for expanding regional economic cooperation and supported community non-profits.
"Supervisor Frost is a strong and compassionate leader who is really involved in her community," said Hamilton. "It’s great to have her on my side."
