Fairfield, Calif. – Today, candidate for California’s third congressional district Tamika Hamilton issued the following statement blasting Congressman John Garamendi for his comments on CNN saying that rescuing Americans from Taliban extremists is “not sensible”:

"Leaving our fellow countrymen to be murdered by the Taliban after this disastrous retreat is absolutely immoral and can never be acceptable. I'm stunned by such a wanton disregard for American life from a member of Congress who sits on the Armed Forces committee. His comments are a disgrace and he should immediately resign from Congress."
