Tamika Hamilton Out-Fundraises Incumbent John Garamendi in Second Quarter

July 16, 2021 |

Fairfield, Calif. – Today, the Tamika Hamilton for Congress campaign announced that Tamika Hamilton has officially out-raised Democrat Incumbent John Garamendi in quarter two, accordingly to publicly available campaign finance reports.

The Hamilton campaign reports raising $103,000.64 in campaign contributions compared to $99,377.50 in contributions to Garamendi’s campaign.

“It’s a privilege to have the support of so many residents in my district and people across the nation who are tired of being represented by career politicians who have been bought out by special interests,” said Hamilton. “For years, Garamendi has masqueraded as a moderate and avoided a stiff challenge. People recognize he’s simply a tool for the ultra-left and are tired of his ineffective leadership."

Hamilton’s campaign boasts an active, grassroots donor base, with more than 80 percent of contributions made to her campaign under $100. Hamilton has also significantly broadened her donor base, adding 1,084 new donors in 2021.

The National Republican Congressional Committee has announced CA3 is a national target for the GOP.

“There’s a good reason this race has caught the attention of the NRCC. I plan on making this campaign a dog fight," added Hamilton.

The Hamilton campaign is already off to a strong start to the third fundraising quarter and has several high-profile fundraisers scheduled, including an upcoming event in August with recently elected Congressman Burgess Owens (UT-04).
